Google and Microsoft team up to fix outlook plug-in’s bugs
Google is reportedly working with Microsoft to fix various bugs that have taken the spark away from an otherwise impressive release of Google app sync for Outlook. The software is provided by Google to deliver a cloud based, enterprise class e-mail solution to outlook accustomed users and thus providing seamless environment between outlook and Google sync app is of prime importance.
Google though has maintained that this application is aimed at providing seamless experience with outlooks’ e-mail contacts and calenders so it is not totally unexpected that there are some issues in synchronizing some additional plug-ins installed by users. Posts on both Microsoft and Google’s official blogs have confirmed that there are some bugs in the Google app synchronization in many plug-ins and those that don’t work with Google app sync for Microsoft Outlook include Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, Acrobat PDF Maker Toolbar and Outlook Change Notifier.
As an end note, its heartening to see two most vicious competitors in the market teaming up to fix bugs, for the sake of their consumers. Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook is available globally as a plug-in for Microsoft Windows.
